$7,479.60

Coppell Middle School East's Chris Gollner, Belinda Axe and Eric Parraz recieved $7,479.60 for "Using Technology to add Quantitative Measures to Ecosystem Studies."  This grant helps students improve conceptual understanding of system interactions within terrariums and aquariums by utilizing digital probes and data loggers to measure and record changes in oxygen gas, carbon dioxide gas, temperature, pH, water quality and air quality within a combined terrarium/aquarium system. The students use their quantitative data in combination with qualitative data to track changes within ecosystems over time.
