Coppell Middle School East's Whitney Neal and Chris Gollner received $2,548.50 for "Building Connections and Making History and Science Come Alive." This grant allowed the History and Science Departments to expand their classrooms beyond the four walls students see on a daily basis into a virtual world they could visit and learn from at any time. By offering recorded lessons, using Skype to connect with students across the country and around the world, and offering online tutorials/workshops/reviews as well as class recordings for students who miss class on a given day, teachers help students understand their content in an engaging, new and unique manner.
